Food Safety Standard Authority Of India Applicability

About Food Safety Standard Authority Of India Applicability

1.Basic registration: Food businesses whose turnover is below 12 Lakhs Annually.
2.State license: Food businesses whose turnover is more than 12 Lakhs but below 20 Crore annually.
3.Central license: Food businesses whose turnover is more than 20 crores annually.

●Food Manufacturers, Retailers, Packers, Distributors including Petty Retailers of Snacks/Tea Shops.
●Food importers
●100% Food EOUS
●Hotels, Restaurants, Clubs/Canteens, Caterers, Dhabha or any other Food Vending Establishments
●Food Suppliers/ Food Storage Establishments
●Food Processing Units, etc.

●Fruits & Vegetables

Registration under FSSAI:-
●Producer who’s production capacity other than milk and milk products and meat and meat products doesn't exceed 100kg/Liter Per day.
●An entity who is procurement or handling and collection of Milk is doesn't exceed 500 litres of milk per day.
●An entity who’s slaughtering capacity is 2 large animals or 10 small animals or 50 poultry birds per day or less.
●Any other food operator whose annual turnover is less than Rs.12 Lakh.

Food Safety Regulatory Compliance Services: In recent era, the regulatory environment is rapidly changing as per innovative ideas of the food business. The state as well as central Government is taking initiatives to protect human health, environment, and consumer interest. The government has made strict rules and regulations for the food operators and also taking strict steps for the enforcement of due diligence policies.
